You have more control if you enroll! If you don’t take action, consider these consequences:
- If you are newly eligible, you will not have coverage. To have coverage, you must actively enroll.
- If you want to take advantage of the Health Care Flexible Spending Account, you must actively enroll for it.
- If you don’t use tobacco but fail to certify that fact each year, you will pay the additional tobacco-user surcharge for your medical coverage. You must certify your tobacco user status every year! If you or your covered family members have been tobacco-free for at least six months, be sure to certify as non-tobacco users and save! Amount varies by coverage tier.
